Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is catching fire from MAGA supporters for ‘gossiping’ after she spilled details about a lunch with the president on the “Hang Out With Sean Hannity” podcast.
Karoline Leavitt left her job as White House Press Secretary earlier this year. Her departure became public in August.
It came less than a month after the 29-year-old returned from maternity leave following the birth of her second child. In a post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump said it was “a decision I totally understand and respect.”
“Karoline has been one of the best White House Press Secretaries in the History of the Office. Thank you, Karoline, for a job well done,” the president wrote at the time.

Karoline Leavitt has left the White House, but she still continues to make headlines. A few days ago, she appeared on the Hang Out with Sean Hannity podcast, where she revealed details about a particular meeting she and Donald Trump had.
Leavitt spoke about Donald Trump’s tense phone calls with foreign advisers, among other things, and detailed a special lunch with former British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
During the lunch with Starmer, at which she and Trump were guests, the president suddenly began criticizing Starmer for their “stupid” policies.

“I sat in on a lunch with the president and Starmer. And we’re sitting around the table, and we’re all enjoying lunch. And we were in this beautiful place. And the president just starts ripping into him for his policies,” Leavitt said on Hang Out with Sean Hannity.
“He’s like, ‘Your policies here are so stupid. You need to close your borders,’” Leavitt recalled. “‘You need to deport these people you have in your country. I know your country, I know your people, they hate what you’re doing.’”
Further, the former White House Press Secretary said Donald Trump usually takes the same approach with allies and adversaries, and argued that what he told the media about his conversations with foreign leaders actually mirrored what really went on behind closed doors.
“What he says to the media publicly is exactly what he’s saying behind the scenes privately, too. In fact, much of what he says privately at some point is going to become public when he speaks to the press, because he’s just candid, and he’s honest,” Leavitt explained.
Karoline Leavitt said that while the president “curses a lot” in general, he keeps his translator-assisted calls direct and professional.

She moreover revealed that Trump pressed Chinese President Xi Jinping, during a meeting in South Korea, to buy more U.S. soybeans to support American farmers. It worked.
“Sure enough after the meeting they did,” she said. “So, he’s always again advocating for what our country needs, what our people need, and he’s unequivocal about that.”
While many appreciate Leavitt for explaining what really is going on behind closed doors, one MAGA fan isn’t happy at all. Greg Kelly, host of the right-wing conservative television network Newsmax, blasted Leavitt for her openness.
In a post, Kelly claimed it was a “breach of trust” to both the president and the nation.
“Unbelievable. So now that she’s an Ex press secretary, Karoline (with a K) Leavitt GOSSIPS about PRIVATE meetings the President had with world leaders? We’re in the middle of MIDTERM MADNESS and Karoline (with a K) “dishes” Without a Care In the World. A BREACH of Trust: The President’s, and the Nation’s. So IMMATURE!!!!” Kelly wrote.
Donald Trump has not commented on Karoline Leavitt’s interview, nor has the former White House Press Secretary replied to Kelly’s X comment about her openness.
