Emily had long dreamed of becoming a mother, and her wish came true when she gave birth to triplet daughters: Sophie, Lily, and Grace. As she admired her peaceful babies, her husband Jack returned from an errand, looking pale and distant. When she invited him to sit with her, he hesitated and then shockingly declared that they couldn’t keep the babies, citing a fortune teller’s warning that they were cursed.
Stunned and angry, Emily confronted Jack about his belief in such nonsense. He revealed that his mother had convinced him of the curse, claiming it would bring bad luck and even lead to his death.
