Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff will not join President Trump on his visit to California’s wildfire devastation due to scheduled nomination votes in DC.
While he appreciates Trump’s visit, Schiff emphasized his commitment to bipartisan efforts for California’s recovery.
On his first trip of his second term, Trump will also visit hurricane-hit North Carolina, criticizing the previous administration’s handling of Hurricane Helene and making claims about California’s water policies worsening the fires.
Trump’s itinerary includes stops in wildfire-affected areas of Los Angeles and meetings with communities in North Carolina supported by Samaritan’s Purse.
